Kara Lash

Clinical Director | LPCC

I bring 9 years of experience as a therapist, with over 4 years specializing in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety-Related Conditions. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in various settings, and I continue to stay updated with the most effective treatment methods to ensure my clients receive the best care possible.

Background

I fully understand the significant impact that OCD, Anxiety Disorders, and mental health struggles can have on one’s quality of life. That’s why my approach is non-judgmental and compassionate. I believe in educating my clients about how their rituals, compulsions, and behaviors can influence their symptoms, empowering them to better manage their mental health. Psychoeducation is a cornerstone of my practice, as it helps individuals understand their condition and gain more control over their recovery.

I use evidence-based treatments, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and incorporate aspects of Behavioral Activation and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when appropriate.

My goal is to help you live in alignment with your personal values and goals while empowering you to better understand and manage your mental health. If you have any concerns or questions about starting treatment, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help you take the first step toward lasting change.
